Chase Hernandez was born in Palm Springs, California, where his journey into creativity and hard work began. From a young age, Chase demonstrated an insatiable curiosity and a drive to improve his surroundings. Whether assisting with small home projects or redesigning his bedroom with bold ideas, Chase displayed a natural talent for innovation and a determination to create something meaningful.
Chase grew up in a family that valued hard work and contribution. His parents involved him in daily responsibilities and taught him that while consuming is enjoyable, true fulfillment comes from producing value for others. These lessons shaped his outlook on life, instilling a purpose-driven mindset that later fueled his passion for transformation through art and craftsmanship.
At 13, Chase began his journey into hard work and self-reliance. During summer breaks, he juggled two jobs: one at a gun range as a trapper and another as a busboy at a Mexican restaurant. Even at a young age, Chase took pride in his work and demonstrated his capability. With the money he earned, he professionally redecorated his bedroom, implementing bold color schemes, custom shelving, and hand-painted murals that reflected his unique sense of style and creativity.
At 18, Chase moved to Reno, Nevada, initially pursuing a chef position at a casino while painting on the side. However, his passion for painting quickly eclipsed his culinary aspirations. Over the next 20 years, Chase honed his craft, combining technical skill with artistic expression to transform spaces into works of art.
Chase’s journey continued with 12 years in home renovations, a field that gave him a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to make a house truly shine. His experience enables him to approach painting projects with an unparalleled understanding of how every element of a home works together.
This ensures that each project not only enhances aesthetics but also integrates seamlessly with the home’s overall design and functionality. His expertise extends beyond painting to include drywall, tile, flooring, trim, doors, and other facets of home construction—a skill set that sets him apart as a painter.
With years of diverse experience, Chase dedicated himself fully to painting, embracing his passion as his life’s work. He channeled this dedication into starting his own painting business, Chasing Color, where the motto “painters chasing perfection” reflects his commitment to excellence. What Chase loves most about painting is helping his clients imagine the possibilities. Even if they’re unsure of what they want, he excels at uncovering the vision hidden in their minds and bringing it to life.
For Chase, the most rewarding aspect of his work is witnessing the profound transformations he creates. Painting is not just a job; it’s a transformative process that breathes new life into spaces. Chase takes pride in turning ordinary walls into extraordinary expressions of beauty, helping homeowners rediscover a deep connection to their living spaces.
Chase often says, “You can live in Reno, or you can live in a masterpiece.” This statement reflects his belief that a home is more than just a place to live—it’s an opportunity to create something truly unique and inspiring.
